Podcast Cover Artwork Size and Export Guide

Podcast artwork has to do two opposite jobs: it must be a large, technically valid square file, and it must still make sense when an app displays it as a tiny icon. The first problem is mechanical. The second is design judgment.

Create a 3000 × 3000 square copy

1. Choose the artwork in the image tool.
2. Select Podcast artwork — 3000 × 3000.
3. Use Crop to fill if the source is not already square.
4. Choose JPG for photographic artwork or PNG for flat graphic artwork.
5. Export and check that the title and subject remain centered.

Keep the title readable

Podcast artwork often appears smaller than a postage stamp. A long subtitle, thin type, or several logos may be readable at 3000 pixels but disappear in an app. Shrink your browser preview or step back from the screen. The main show title and visual identity should still be recognizable.

Avoid accidental crops

If your original image is rectangular, a square crop may remove heads, microphones, or text. The browser tool centers the crop. When the subject is far from the center, create a square layout in your design software first or use extra background space with Fit entire image.
